How do I add a question to a question pool?

A question pool consists of questions developed in advance and saved for use in assessments.  You can add a question to a pool directly, or save a copy of a question to a pool while you are authoring or editing questions in an assessment.

Go to Tests & Quizzes.

Select the Tests & Quizzes tool from the Tool Menu of your site.

Add a question directly to a pool.

Select the Question Pools tab.

Select the pool.

Click on the name of the pool or subpool where you would like to add questions.

Note: To reveal existing subpools within a question pool or a higher-level subpool, select the arrow icon (Toggle Tree) next to the pool's or higher-level subpool's name.

Select Add Question.

The question pool details will be displayed, with links for adding subpools and questions. In the Questions section, select the Add Question link.

Select the question type.

  1. Choose the type of question to create from the Select question type menu.
  2. Select Save.
