How do students add and organize content on lesson pages?

To access the Lessons tool, select the Lessons link in the tools menu.  

Note that the instructor may have renamed the tool, or there may be more than one instance of the tool in the site. Contact the instructor if there is any question about the location of student content.

To add student content, visit the page where the feature has been enabled and select Add Your Own Page.

Select the type of content to add to the student page, then add the content:

  1. To add text or other content using the Rich Text Editor, select Add Text.
  2. To embed content on the page, select Embed content on page.
  3. To add links to content on the page, select Add Content Link.
  4. To add a subpage (a linked page which can contain content), click Add Subpage.

To reorder student content on a lesson page, select Reorder in the gray menu bar near the top of the page.

Drag and drop items to reorder them, then select Save to save the changes.

You can also move items using keyboard commands. Select the item you want to move, and then use CTRL + the direction keys (arrow keys or i-j-k-m) to move it.

Note: The item currently selected will have a dotted outline.
