How do I change the display and playback speed of media?

Media Gallery includes options to view media in full screen and adjust the playback speed of video and audio files.

View media in full screen.

Select Media Gallery from the tool menu of the site.

Select a file.

Select an image, audio, or video file to view the media page.

Open the media in full screen mode.

You can enter full screen mode by double-clicking inside the player or selecting the Full Screen button near the lower right corner of the media viewer.  The button looks like two arrows pointing outward.

Exit full screen mode.

When you are done viewing the media, you can exit full screen mode either by pressing the Escape key on your keyboard, double-clicking inside the player, or selecting the Exit Full Screen button near the lower right corner of the screen. The button looks like two arrows pointing inward.

Slow down or speed up video or audio playback.

Select Media Gallery from the tool menu of the site.

Select a video or audio file.

Select the video or audio file to play.

Change the playback speed.

  1. Select the Playback Speed button near the lower right corner of the media viewer. By default, the speed will be shown as 1x.
  2. Select the desired new speed. Options include (from slowest to fastest):
    • 0.5x
    • 0.75x
    • 1x
    • 1.5x
    • 2x

Play the video or audio file.

When you select Play, the video and/or audio will move more slowly or quickly, depending on the speed you selected.
